Digital Arts Camp Description:

Day 1 and Day 2: 3D Design and 3D Printing

Students will use Tinkercad 3D Design application. Tinkercad is a simple, online 3D design and 3D printing app for everyone.

Tinkercad is used by designers, hobbyists, teachers, and kids, to make toys, prototypes, home decor, Minecraft models, jewelry – the list is truly endless!

Once students completed their designs, they will be able to print via 3D Printer at the end of the day and will take their printed designs home at the end of the Winter Tech Camp.

Day 3: Photography

During the 3rd day of the camp, students will learn about digital photography. Students will learn aesthetic and technical theories and techniques of digital photography by using digital photo manipulation and editing software.

Topics students will learn are;

– Camera and lens operation,
– Memory cards,
– File formats,
– Aperture,
– Exposure,
– White balance,
– Composition,
– Lighting,
– Creativity,
– Image editing software basics and output
– Color correction
– Leveling
– Brightness & Saturation
– Layers

Day 4 and Day 5: Video Editing and Production

During video editing days, students will learn the basic skills using PowerDirector software. This camp will be beneficial as the content taught is universal so that students can learn or operate other video editing software easily. Here is what students will be learning:

– PowerDirector Basics
– Story and Editing
– Importing
– Working with images and slideshows
– Video Editing Basics
– Working with Sound
– Color Correction
– Titles
– Special Effects
– Transitions
– Using Green Screen and Chroma Key
– Exporting the final product

Classes requires a digital camera. Lens camera is preferable. Mirror-less of Phone Cameras are OK as well.
